About Dr. Kevin Christiansen, DVM, Diplomate, DACVIM (Cardiology)

Dr. Kevin Christiansen is a Board Certified Veterinary Cardiologist with over 21 years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions in cats and dogs. He completed his Cardiology Residency at the University of Pennsylvania, Veterinary Training from Kansas State University and undergraduate degree from Nebraska Wesleyan. In addition to seeing patients in clinic in Omaha (VESN) and Kansas City (Keil Eye Vet), he offers consultations for Chest radiographs, ECGs and Echos and also Holter cardiologist over reads. Dr. Christiansen provides lectures and cardiology information to Kansas City area high school Vet Med CAPS students interested in pursuing Veterinary studies post high school. He also volunteers his expertise and knowledge to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo.

Reasons to see a Cardiologist

1. Chronic cough

2. Heart murmur in any dog or cat

3. Collapsing, fainting or falling over to the side
